PRESIDENT GOODLUCK JONATHAN DECLARES STATE OF EMERGENCY.

In a national broadcast held at 19:00 GMT+1 today, the president declared a state of emergency in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe state. This he did in relation to the recent spate of violence and lawlessness by
some extremist groups in those states.
