The idea of creating queer words and popularizing them through music has become a growing trend in the entertainment industry. We've heard words like "Limpopo", "Alingo". Personally I was still recovering from these (for lack of a better description) 'confused words', when Skelewu hit the air waves. What does it mean? It's a dance yes, but what does it really mean? As an igbo person the first thing that comes to mind is Goat Skeleton. Skeleton and Ewu(Juggle the syllables). Now that scares me considering the fact that the dance itself potrays one like a skeleton with damaged hips trying so hard to move a few steps. Is Skelewu actually a subliminal message?
