CIRCULAR TO STAFF AND STUDENTS


POSTPONEMENT OF RESUMPTION FOR THE RAIN SEMESTER



The University Administration wishes to inform all members of the
University Community that owing to the need to have Academic Staff
have the desired rest to allow them refresh for the Rain Semester, the
University Administration has decided that the Rain Semester which was
scheduled to commence on Sunday, July 22, 2012 should be rescheduled
until a later date.


In this regard, the Administration wishes to request all students to
please await a new date of commencement of the new semester which will
be duly published.


On behalf of the University Administration we wish all students a
restful holiday and all academic staff a nice time of deserved rest.

OAU resumes at last

Amid countless rumours of the school's resumption, hoax spread by
mischief makers across News sites online, Obafemi Awolowo University
has seen the movement of Freshers into her gates today. Thus sealing
the resumption date as 26th February 2012. More recently talks of
Lecturers taking 'a little time off' from work have been making the
rounds among OAU students. Well the veracity of this allegation will
be confirmed in a few weeks time when the lecturers are supposed to
take their positions at Lecture theatres to begin the semester's work.
Don't we just love mongering rumour!
